Book Challenge

Book Challenge 2019

It’s that time of the year again! It’s time for our Book Challenge 2019. I still have 2 books left to read for my 2018 challenge, but I’ve already started planning for next year!

The rules are the same as this year’s challenge;

  • No doubling up on challenges with books (for example, reading a spooky/horror book on a Kindle, does NOT complete both challenges because the rule is no doubling up!)
  • No loop holes! Ex. A book with a male protagonist meaning the MAIN protagonist in the story, not a split viewpoint.
  • Any challenges not completed, means 2 books to be read in that category in 2020.

We are tough but fair. 8)

  1. To read a book on Kindle (or any other form of reading app)
  2. A horror or a spooky story
  3. Read a book tagged historical or about time travel
  4. Read a book with a male protagonist (or a male author)
  5. Read a book with a knife or sword on the cover or a war in the story
  6. Read a book of short stories
  7. Book based on a fairy tale (retelling or variation)
  8. Book with a number in the title
  9. A book that has only 2 stars or under 5 ratings on Amazon or Good Reads (or your preferred site)
  10. A book from the perspective of a non human or animal
  11. A book with a colour in title or the author name
  12. A holographic book

And there it is, another book challenge. I am 4 away from my Goodreads Challenge as well which is 30 books for this year!

Good luck everyone with all your book related challenges! Also, stay tuned on my Instagram and Twitter as of Dec 2nd it’s the beginning of the 12 Days Of Christmas! You can find more about this here.

Happy November Bookworms!

  1. Just came across your challenge which I am interested in participating in. Not sure about challenge 12. Do you have any recommendations that would be suitable for reading a holographic book.

    1. Hey Shaz, a holographic book, can be any book with holographic foiling on it. I have a book in my collection (the hardcover of The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw) but in January there is a new release of a book called A Curse So Dark And Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer which I believe is being released with a holographic cover. If you like, whilst looking for myself I can send you suggestions? Thanks for getting in touch. Roo ๐Ÿ™‚
